The renewal of the partnership with two more players was announced by the AEK polo department. After Nikola Vuksevic, it was the turn of Kostas Kokkinakis and Luis Araya.
Kostas Kokkinakis continues in… double position in the “yellow and black”, strengthening the whole with his valuable experience as a player, but also as a member of the technical team of the academies.

“AEK is pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with Kostas Kokkinakis. The experienced defender has signed his new contract and will remain with the Club’s Men’s Polo team for another year.
Kostas Kokkinakis, ex of the leading water polo players of our countrycontributed the most to the team’s progress last year, which came within one breath of entering the playoffs, while also contributing to the AEK Academy.
Speaking to aek.gr, Kostas Kokkinakis said: “Thank you very much to Nikos Venetopoulos, Panos Michalopoulos and AEK, for giving me the opportunity to play another year at such a high level, which will probably be my last year as an athlete. As for Luis Araya, the 25-year-old regional player will strengthen the “yellow and black” team for another year, being one of the top scorers in A1 in recent years.

Luis Araya is one one of the top scorers of the Greek Championshipwhich he proved both at OUK Volos (2020-21) and at AEK last season.
