PAOK announced the acquisition of Muratovic

The acquisition of the 27-year-old regional, Esma Muratovic announced the PAOK women’s volleyball team, which is expected to significantly strengthen the “black and white” next season.

The announcement in detail:

“PAOK, and the women’s handball department, announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Esma Muratovic, for the 2023-2024 season.

Born in Montenegro on 24/01/1996, Esma Muratovic plays on the perimeter, is right-handed and is 177cm tall.

She started her career from WHC Danilovgrad, with which she got her first performances, both from the championship level and from the European competitions, participating in the EHF European Women’s Cup.

Next stop in her career was Portugal, Madeira, with whom she competed in the EHF Cup, while continuing to be at a high level, as far as the championship part is concerned.

This was followed by a two-year stint at Kastamonu Belediyesi GSK, from Turkey, with whom he competed in the top club competition, the EHF Champions League. The 2017–18 season was her last in Turkey, playing for Ardesen GSK.

In the 2018-19 season he played for Maccabi Arazim Ramat, from Israel, regularly participating in the European EHF Cup competition.

In the three years 2019-2022, she played in Kosovo on behalf of KHF Istogu, while last season she was in Italy, with SSV Brixen Sudtirol.

She is international with the National Team of Montenegro, since she is an athlete with rich performances, both at national and collective level.

Regarding the start of cooperation with PAOK, Esma Muratovics stated on the Association’s official website, acpaok.gr: “I am very happy to have come to PAOK, about whom I have only heard good things. I want to thank the Management and the coach for their trust. PAOK is a team with ambitions, while next season they will also compete in the EHF European League”.
