The police made 15 arrests before Apollon Smyrni-Aris, while a total of 89 arrests were made. Molotov cocktails, axes, knives, flares and a small amount of drugs were seized, among others.
In detail, the announcement of the police:
«(15) people were arrested before the start of a football match, accused – as the case may be – of manufacturing and possessing explosives and violating the legislation on weapons, flares and sparklers, addictive substances and amateur and professional sports.
Yesterday (15-1-2022) in the afternoon, before the start of the football match at the stadium of Rizoupolis “G. Kamaras”, a group of about -100- people gathered, some moving on foot and others inside a car. cars, around the stadium, holding crowbars and fire extinguishers and wearing motorcycle helmets.
Police forces were immediately mobilized, where they went to the spot and immobilized the above persons, while carrying out their control as well as their vehicles.
A total of -89- people were brought to the Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence at the Sports Facilities of the Attica Security Directorate.
From the conducted controls were found, among others, confiscated:
