Several important changes are planned for its new league Women’s A1as appears from the special notice published by the EEC.
The championship jamball will take place on October 7while each team will be able to have three foreign gymnasts (whereas last year he had four and could use all three). At the same time, each team must have two athletes under the age of 21 in its squad or one player under the age of 21 if it is fielding a squad.
Alongside, regular season wins will not carry over to playoffs and play outswhile there will be a change in the format as well.
In first phase phase of the playoffs the teams that ranked in positions 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 of the ranking formed after the end of Phase 1 of the Championship as follows:
A1 – A4 (B1)
A2 – A3 (B2)
A5 – A8 (B3)
A6 – A7 (B4)
The winner in this phase is the team that achieves two (2) victories over its opponent in the games between them and does not carry over the wins and losses of the regular season (A’ phase). The first match is held at the home of the team that will have been ranked in the highest position of the A’ phase of the championship (regular season) and the second match at the home of its opponent. In the event that a third match needs to be played, it will be played at the headquarters of the team which, at the end of the A’ phase of the championship, was ranked in the highest position in the standings. The defeated teams of pairs B3 and B4 will not compete against each other and will occupy positions 7 and 8. In the seventh position (7th) will be ranked the team that during the regular season (Phase A) had occupied the highest position.
At second phase of the playoffs the teams will compete for positions 1 – 2, 3 – 4 and 5 – 6 as follows: The winning team will be the one that achieves three (3) victories over its opponent and does not carry over the wins and losses of the regular season ( Phase I). The matches will be played alternately at the home of each opponent. The first match of the series is held at the home of the team that will have been ranked in the highest position of the A’ phase of the championship (regular period), the second match at the home of its opponent and then, all subsequent matches that will required for one of the two teams to complete the number of three victories, they will be held, according to the above, alternately. The winner is declared champion for the 2023-2024 season.
LOSER B1 – LOSER B2 (C1)
B3 WINNER – B4 WINNER (C2)
The winner in this phase is the team that achieves two (2) victories over its opponent in the games between them and does not carry over the wins and losses of the regular season (A’ phase). The first match is held at the home of the team that will have been ranked in the highest position of the A’ phase of the championship (regular season) and the second match at the home of its opponent. In the event that a third match needs to be played, it will be played at the headquarters of the team which, at the end of the A’ phase of the championship, was ranked in the highest position in the standings. The winner of the C1 pair takes the 3rd place in the final ranking, while the winner of the C2 pair takes the 5th place.
Sta play out the teams that ranked in positions 9 to 12 of the ranking, as formed after the end of the A’ phase of the Championship, participate and meet each other as follows:
A9 – A12
A10 – A11
The winner in this phase is the team that achieves two (2) victories over its opponent in the games between them and does not carry over the wins and losses of the regular season (A’ phase). The first match is held at the home of the team that will have been ranked in the highest position of the A’ phase of the championship (regular season) and the second match at the home of its opponent. In the event that a third match needs to be played, it will take place at the home of the team which, at the end of the A’ phase of the championship, was ranked in the highest position in the standings.
The winning teams will occupy positions 9, 10 according to their standings in the A’ Phase (regular season) while the defeated teams are relegated to the A2 National Women’s Division.
