Three matches, but no deduction of points for Panathinaikos – He does not appeal to the ASEAD

With three games behind closed doors (while already carrying one from Game 2) was penalized o Panathinaikos for the incidents and the interruption in the fourth final of the Basket League against Olympiakos.

The “greens” though they were threatened with a deduction of two points, they were not punished with such a penalty and thus they will not start the season with an even greater disadvantage. Instead, they were fined a total of 17,300 euros for the offenses listed on the match sheet.

In fact, as it became known from KAE Panathinaikos, there will be no appeal to the ASEAD for the reduction of the “bell”, with the “greens” accepting the punishment and staying true to what Dimitris Giannakopoulos had declared, that he will not appeal for punishment in case of violence.

The decision in detail:

The PANATHINAIKOS ATHLETIKOS OMILOS KALATHOSFAIRIKI ANONIME ETAIREIA (d.t. KAE PANATHINAIKOS) is imposed: a) for offenses that are not characterized as particularly serious, the penalty of a written reprimand with a parallel announcement in the press and a fine of four thousand (4,000.00) euros, b ) for abusive slogans which are not addressed to natural persons, a monetary fine of one thousand (1,000.00) euros, c) for abusive slogans addressed to natural persons and for which two (2) warnings followed, the penalty of reprimand and the monetary fine of one thousand four hundred (1,400.00) euros, d) for incidents (smoke bombs, firecrackers) outside the playing field (stands), the fine of two thousand four hundred (2,400.00) euros, e) for incidents inside the playing field and in particular, throwing a group of objects, a fine of one thousand five hundred (1,500.00) euros and f) for incidents that are defamatory of the sport and the match is not permanently stopped due to these incidents, the penalty of suspension for three (3) match days and a fine of seven thousand (7,000.00) euros, during the Championship match with the OLYMPIC PHILATHLON ASSOCIATION OF PIRAEUS BASKETBALL SOCIETY held on 6-15-2023.
