“AEK is pleased to announce the start of its collaboration with Liset Herrera Blanco. The center athlete, 1.92 m tall, signed one year contract and joins the strength of the Club’s women’s Volleyball team.
The 24-year-old athlete (06/12/1998) is an international player with the Cuban National Team, having passed through all age categories. She started her career from Cuban Matanzas in 2014, while in 2017 she moved to Switzerland on behalf of Volero Zurich, with whom she won the domestic treble (Championship, Cup and Super Cup). That season he also competed in the top interclub competition of European volleyball, the CEV Champions League.
The following season he moved to France to play for Volero Le Cannet, where he stayed for two seasons. In 2020 he went to Italy to play for Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio, with whom he reached the semi-finals of the CEV Champions League. And there he stayed for two seasons, until he came to our country on behalf of PAOK last summer.
