At his wheel Colossus of Rhodes will sit for the next two years o Kuro Segura!
The Spanish coach found everything with the Rhodes team and will be the third Greek team he will coach after Ionic of Nicaea and AEK the 2021/22 season.
Colossus’ announcement:
“KAE Kolossos H Hotels announces that it has reached an agreement with Kouros Segouras to take over the technical leadership for the next 2 years.
The 51-year-old coach has a lot of experience from the benches, taking his first steps in 1994, while the first team he took over as head coach was Motril in 1996. He then worked in Granada, Linense, Tenerife and in 2002 he took charge of Menorca, the which he raised to the first category.
In 2007 he sat on the bench of Zaragoza, which he also promoted to ACB, while in the 2009/10 season he was at Obradeiro. He then returned to Granada, while in the 2012/13 season he was a member of the coaching staff of Unicaja Málaga. He followed a three-year period outside of Spain and specifically worked in China (Jilin Northeast Tigers), Uruguay (Atletico Aguada) and Venezuela (Gigantes de Guayana).
In the 2017/18 season he returned to his country and worked as a member of the Baskonia staff. In 2018, he took over Real Betis, which he promoted to the first division and remained on their bench until November 2020.
In the 2021/22 season, Kouros Segoura worked for the first time in Greece, taking over the bench of Ionian Nikias, while halfway through the year he moved to AEK, staying until the end.
This year, the experienced coach was on the bench of Burgos, participating in the championship of the second division of Spain».
