The Deaf Women’s National Team “beat” Italy and finished third in the World!

Another great honor for her National Deaf Women!

The “blue and white” won with a score of 53-45 Italy in the short final and finished third in the World Championship of Crete, winning the bronze medal!

This is the third bronze of the women’s national in World Deaf Championship (2002, 2007 and 2023). In 2019, the Women’s National Team was crowned World Championwhile counting two fourth places (2011 and 2015) in the event.

The first scorer of the national team in the match was Stefania Patera with 16 points and 8 rebounds, while h Chrysanthi Chaina she was also pivotal with 10 points. The losers had a very good day Carola Giccardi 17 points and 4/10 three-pointers, while 11 points were added by Simona Sorrentino.
