A transition season is expected to go through the Anatolou Efes.

The Turkish team went to a change of coach, after Ergin Ataman left and was hired Erdem Canand now the priority is the staffing of the new year’s roster.

The GM of Efes spoke about it, Alper Yilmaz, in a broadcast of Turkey’s beIn Sports, emphasizing Vasilije Micic’s intention to go to the NBA but also the stay of key players. In fact, he pointed out that Efes will give more support to Turkish players, while reducing the budget.

In detail what he said:

“We are following the developments after the Draft. Micic really wants to go to the NBA. He has a related option in his contract until July 20. Clyburn and Zizic will stay with us. We were able to keep Bryant and Beaubois on the team. Singleton came to help us for the last six months, but he had an unexpected health problem and we sent him home. We thank him. We will know the status of Ebaye in a week. Plays has a contract. We are in the process of acquiring a fourth and a fifth player.

Maybe there will be a decrease in foreign players in the team next season. We want to make more use of Turkish players in our system. We also monitor the developments of our guards in the NBA. We will see if we can make changes or not. There will be a significant reduction in the budget. But if you want to be a competitive team in the EuroLeague, you have to overcome a limit.”
