“The family of Apollo welcomes to its ranks Giorgos Giuzelis (1995, 2.03 m.). George Giuzelis in the period 2022-2023 divided the year between Peristeri and Karditsa. In Peristeri, an injury to his cheekbone set him back a bit, but from the winter transfer window he moved to Karditsa, making very good appearances. Specifically, in 14 games he had a m.o. 5.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in almost 20 minutes of participation with 13/17 two-pointers with 76.5%, 14/42 three-pointers with 33.3% and 4/8 shots with 50%.
He comes from Serres and in the past he competed in the infrastructure sections of Panathinaikos.
At the beginning of his career, he wore the shirt of Peristeri, Ionikos, Agia Paraskevi and Dafni. In the 2018-2019 season, he played in Korivos, scoring 7.2 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in the A2 Category championship. The following year (2019-2020) he played for Diagoras Dryopideon Aegaleo averaging 6.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1 steal and won promotion to A1. A year later (2020-2021) with Iraklis he competed in the Stoiximan Basket League having 2.1 points and 1.3 rebounds in 9.3 minutes of participation.
In the 2021-2022 season with Ioniko Nikias in the Stoiximan Basket League, he averaged 5.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in 18.5 minutes of participation.
He is international with the “small” National teams.
