Giannis moved with his speech – “I never thought we would inspire others”

He was moved but also moved. THE John Antetokounmpo spoke yesterday during an event about the “Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation” and referred to his family noting that he could never have believed that he and his siblings would make it to inspire and create opportunities for other people.

“It’s obviously a very special night. I’ll do my best not to get emotional. When I have my family with me and talk about our lives, I always get emotional. I don’t want to embarrass you. It’s a special night, I wish my father was with us tonight to see what we’ve accomplished“, the NBA superstar said and continued:

“Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would be in a space like this, with my family, talking, inspiring, creating opportunities for others. We represent my mother and my father in the best possible way. We love basketball, but we never imagined we would touch other people’s lives.

I am so proud of my siblings. You don’t see it often, a family being so close, checking in on each other everyday. I am proud of them, of my family. All this would not have happened without my mother and without my father.

Thank you for coming tonight, for helping to make our dreams come true. We have the best intentions in our hearts and will try to do our best. The Antetokounmpo family will not change the world, but we will try and this is a success”concluded.
