In the seventh capacity group ahead of its draw Eurocup was placed o Mars together with Besiktas, as announced. The draw will take place next Friday, July 7, at 14:15 Greek time.
The 20 teams will be divided into 10 capacity groups with two teams in each, according to the ranking of the clubs. Aris was low because it is five years away from the European cups.
Aris will face Turk Telekom, Trento, Ulm, Budusnost and Gran Canaria. Opponents from groups 4, 6, 9 and 10 remain to be announced.

“Teams’ performance in Euroleague Basketball events over a three-year period will be used. Each club will receive 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw or loss from the Regular Season onwards. 2 bonus points awarded for reaching the last 16, 2 bonus points awarded for reaching the last 8, 1 bonus point awarded for reaching the last 4, 1 bonus point awarded for reaching the finals. The club ranking is made up of the sum of club figures from the last three years. The results of the worst performing team from each country/league will be added together each year to create a place for that country/league in the club rankings. This is the lowest possible position any club from that country/league can occupy in the draw.
If two or more teams have the same club ranking, the tie will be resolved by the total number of wins over the three-year period. In the event of a tie, the final standings in the EuroLeague and if necessary the EuroCup from the previous season will be used to break the tie. In the event of a tie, the final domestic league standings from the previous season (after the playoffs) will be used to break the tie. In the event of a tie, a draw will be used to break the tie, with the Company determining the manner of the draw.
The top two teams from the club rankings participating in the regular season will be seeded first, the next two seeded second, and so on.
The limitation
Two teams from the same domestic league cannot coincide in the same regular season group, unless there are more than two teams from the same domestic league participating in it. In this case, the lottery will attempt to balance the number of delegates in each pool until it is physically impossible to maintain the pool lottery restrictions without blocking the lottery.
The process
The teams will be drawn one by one from an urn containing only teams from the same seed, from 1 to 10, until all 20 teams are selected. The first team to be drawn will be allocated to Group A and as therefore, the other team in the seed will be allocated to Group B. In case of country restriction, each team can be directly allocated to one group, in which case the other team in the seed will be allocated to the other group. A group can be placed directly in a group to follow the restriction mentioned above».
