Vissel Kobe’s touching farewell to Iniesta-The great Spanish midfielder was in tears

With prices befitting his huge career Andres Iniesta said goodbye to Vissel Kobe. After a five-year stint with the team, he leaves Japan where he chose to continue after leaving the Barcelona.

The 39-year-old midfielder played for 57 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Consandole Sapporo and was subsequently honored for his contribution in an impressive yet highly emotional ceremony. This year his time was limited since suffered from injuries, however he left open the possibility of continuing to play professional football. “I am grateful for the love and respect shown to me by the fans. I’ve been having a hard time lately and that’s why I chose to leave. I gave everything in matches and in training. I’ve been through a lot in these five years, which is a long time. My desire is to retire and close my playing career“, he said.
