In a… not so good way he spoke about him Pep Guardiola The Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The former German midfielder was asked to comment on “talksport” about the poor performance of his country’s national team in recent years, blaming the current Catalan manager of City.
Specifically, Mr Schweinsteiger emphasized that the Guardiola he imposed when he moved from Bayern a competitive style, which ultimately altered the DNA of German football.
In detail what he said:
“When Pep came to the country in 2013, everyone was of the opinion that we should play this type of football that will be based on passes in a few meters, but what happened in the final is that we lost our values.
I think the other countries always had us in their minds as a fighting and fighting group, running to the end. I believe that we have lost this virtue in the last seven or eight years because we have simply forgotten it. We were only focused on how to make nice transfers.”
Bastian Schweinsteiger claims Pep Guardiola has damaged German football following his stint with Bayern Munich.
