The victory for “Super Max”, the impressions of Norris and the… renewed McLaren!

by

Absolute ruler and in British Grand Prix The Max Fertappen!

The “Flying” Dutchman who started from pole position he was the first to see the checkered flag in an impressive and quite thrilling race at the historic Silverstone circuit! Thus, the world champion celebrated the sixth consecutive and eighth win overall of this season, going full speed towards winning the title!

However, the two stole the show McLarenwith the British team showing tremendous improvement after and upgrade package in their cars, “playing” Red Bull equally in many parts of the race! It is indicative that the Lando Norris finished in 2nd place, while o Piastre in 4th, behind Hamilton who completed the podium.

On the other hand, it was huge disappointment for Ferrari, where once again the wrong strategy put its drivers in a difficult position, with Leclerc and Saint finishing 9th and 10th, both losing five places!

Amazing and highly impressive was the start of the British Grand Prix, with the renewed McLarens to show their… teeth and their wild dispositions from early on!

As soon as the red lights went out, Mr Lando Norris “dive” down the straight and the first turn, leaving Max Verstappen in 2nd place, with the third Piastri chasing the Dutchman like… crazy! In fact, Norris quickly increased the gap from Max to over 1 second amid pandemonium from the thousands of his compatriots in the stands!

After overcoming the initial “shock”, Verstappen “gnawed” the gap and taking advantage of the DRS, took back the lead of the race on the 5th lap of the race, passing Norris with a “dive” on the brakes on the corner.

Until the 12th round, the two McLarens… filled the mirrors of Max, who from that point on improved his lap, increasing the gap to close to 5-6 seconds. In the back places, the two Ferraris and the two Mercedes were fighting their own battle for a better placing.

To Round 33 changed the entire race, as Magnussen’s car caught fire and stayed on the track, resulting in the safety car. McLaren made the mistake of putting the hard rubber in their cars, and while both Verstappen and the two Mercedes that completed the first five had the soft one!

Five laps later we had the green lights, with the fearsome ‘orange’ cars not only not losing their places to the Mercedes, but instead managing to get out of the DRS zone of Hamilton and Russell, making it to the finish quite comfortably!
