Milutinov: “Two key players left, the departure of Vezenkov is a painful moment”

THE Nikola Milutinov returned to Greece on behalf of Olympiakos, and is in Syros for the AegeanBall Festival.

The Serbian “giant” made statements about the departures of Kostas Sloukas and Sasha Vezenkovwhile he also talked about his goals with the “red and whites”.

In detail what he said:

On his return to Greece and to Olympiakos: “I feel very happy and excited. I always knew I wanted this to happen. I knew it and I wanted it. I’m glad that this moment has come and I’m looking forward to new challenges and new seasons.”

For the new season and the changes in Piraeus: “The most painful moment for me was the departure of Vezenkov. Two key players left, we will have to work hard. We want to go one step further.”

On whether he can play together with Mustafa Fal in the same formation: “I have only good things to say about him. He is one of the best centers in Europe. I can learn a lot from him and I look forward to working together.”

For the Final Four of Kaunas: “I was watching the match with my friends and it was painful. I told them that Olympiacos would win, I could feel it. It was a bad moment when Yule scored, but that’s his quality. Unfortunately, this happened against Olympiakos.”

On whether he is better than his previous tenure with the “red and whites”: “I hope so, we will see next season. I hope I take another step in my game.”
