Diamantidis: “I didn’t expect Slukas to make such a decision”

I had enough of it, it was great, but that’s about it. Competition is a major element of making a championship. You want to win here too. I even did a couple of airballs.”

For Kostas Sloukas: “Panathinaikos has had teams all these years. I certainly did not expect Kostas (Sloukas) to make this decision, everyone knows their own good. I hope that things go well and that the competition that will be there will be until there on the floor. The team has made very good additions. As Panathinaikos, I’m happy to see the team take the lead. Let’s hope now to go up again.”

Regarding the status of coach and Vassilis Spanoulis: “I don’t think I have what it takes to be a coach. Being a coach requires you to have other things. The way I think about coaches, there are few who are good. At least as I have them in my mind. I didn’t have the feeling that Vassilis (Spanoulis) will become a coach, but it was clear from the beginning that what he does he wants to do it well. This was evident from the first moment.”

For the EEC: “I like it very much. The guys there, Kostas Tsartsaris and Dimos Dikoudis work hard and put in a lot of effort. The development part needs time to see the result”.
