Sanchez: “I always have the best feelings for Panathinaikos”

THE Facudo Sanchez faced Panathinaikos as an opponent for the first time with the jersey of AEK Larnaca.

After the friendly, the Argentinian right-back spoke to the representatives of the press and referred to his presence in the “trefoil”, the feelings he has about it and his impressions of the team being built.

-For the fact that he found himself an opponent of Panathinaikos a few weeks after he left and the… circles that life makes:

“Yes, it was a bit strange for me the feeling after three years at Panathinaikos, but I’m happy to see my old teammates and everyone who works at the club. I always have the best feelings for Panathinaikos and all its people.”

-On what his old teammates and Jovanovic told him:

“It was a bit different to play against them. They already beat us (s.s. laughs). For me, the most important thing is that I feel very good for everyone and for this great club.”

-On how he saw Panathinaikos ahead of the matches against Dnipro:

“The team has the same base and the same central idea in their game as they have had in the last two years. And that is the most important thing. The base of the team is the same and this makes it easier for the new players to adapt. To see and learn faster how the team plays. I saw that it is a very good team with many quality players and I wish all the best to all the children and to Panathinaikos”.

-On whether Panathinaikos can reach the title this year that it lost last year at the end:

“Yes, it certainly can. It would have been different if we had won this championship because the team has not won the title for many years. But they will fight again for the title and for Europe.”

-On his own new challenge at AEK Larnaca:

“I’m fine, I found a very good team, a very good group of players. The country is too quiet for my family. I am very pleased with what I encountered there. I will definitely come to Athens at some point with my wife, because we like the city very much and I will come to Leoforo”.
