The stadium of AEL, the AEL FC Arena, and OAKA as possible seats of PAOK during the construction of the new Toumba are being examined by the “black and white” PAE, as the administration states, among other things, about the stadium issue in its regular briefing.
In the “black and white” camp, all the issues for the new stadium were discussed and, among other things, it was discussed where the first team will play, after the impasse with Kaftanzogleio, considering even the cases of OAKA and AEL FC Arena, for the European games.
The standard information of PAOK FC for the Toumba stadium
With the participation of the President of PAOK Mr. Ivan Savvidis, the established weekly working meeting for Nea Toumpa took place.
All issues related to the project of the new stadium were discussed in detail, as well as the possible solutions for relocation of the team during their construction.
Specifically:
• It was decided to entrust a specialized law firm with the control of all necessary legal documents, including the draft Presidential Decree and the submission by them of the necessary actions that will legally defend PAOK for the construction of the new stadium.
Respectively, the agreement with a specialized company of financial advisors for the formation of the correct financing mechanism of the project will be completed.
• The responsibilities were assigned to the working group, in order to describe the requirements and the technical characteristics, in order to start the tender process for the company that will undertake the architectural and construction study of the stadium.
• Messrs. Moutsakis and Dimogiannis will participate this week in the international conference ESMMA in Italy, on the development of stadiums.
• The progress of the works at the stadium of Makedonikos, which will host PAOK B ‘and the women’s team, was analyzed by the Councilor and Vice President Chrysostomos Gagkatsis and the manager of field facilities Mr. Giannis Dimogiannis.
• Mr. Gagkatsis underlined that apart from Kaftanzogleio, no other stadium in Thessaloniki meets the conditions, either for reasons of capacity or for reasons of security, to host PAOK’s European and domestic games. And the stadium of Makedonikos for reasons that were analyzed can not expand its existing capacity above 10,000, but also the safety standards that meet the conditions of international games. This stadium will thus host PAOK B ‘and the women’s team for the next 3 to 5 years.
• The order was given to examine all the stadiums near Thessaloniki, including the AEL FC Arena, which could, with the necessary adjustments, host European matches. At the same time, an order was sent to send for the same reason to the administration of OAKA and the competent bodies for the conditions of possible use of the Stadium for European matches.
