“The 13th game of the Stoiximan Basket League will be dedicated to first aid training. The Hellenic Red Cross (Hellenic Red Cross) and the Hellenic Association of Basketball Societes Anonymes (ESAKE) through this action aim to raise awareness and familiarize people with issues of first aid and accident prevention and injuries.
Specifically, Samaritan-Rescue Trainers of the Greek Red Cross together with ladders of volunteers of the Hellenic Red Cross. will demonstrate First Aid (cases of drowning, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, etc.) in all sports matches for the 13th game of the Stoiximan Basket League (22-23-24 January 2022). This great action aims to highlight to the general public the importance of proper knowledge of First Aid for dealing with emergencies but also in everyday life, where timely and proper intervention can prevent a disability or save a life.
It is noted that this action is part of the memorandum of cooperation signed between ESAKE and the Greek Red Cross, while other joint actions are planned in the near future, always aiming at supporting sports and highlighting the supreme value of volunteering in Greece.
