Sliskovic at Olympiakos: “Excited to join a big club”

Announced Ivan Sliskovich o Olympic.

The handball department of Piraeus was strengthened by the acquisition of the Croatian winger, who has -among other things- trained in Germany, with the 32-year-old ace expressing his enthusiasm for this development.

OLYMPIAN S.F.P. announces the start of his collaboration with Ivan Sliskovic. The international Croatian winger (born 23/10/1991, 1.98m) signed his new contract and joins the roster of the club’s handball team.

Ivan Sliskovic has a lot of experience at the top level of handball, with “stints” in Germany and the Bundesliga with Frisch Auf Goppingen (2018-20) and Stuttgart, where he played last season. In 2020-22, the international left winger played for Porto, while he started his career at RK Nexe in 2011. With the Croatian National Team, Ivan Sliskovic has won two medals, the bronze at the European Championship in Poland in 2016 and the silver at the Mediterranean Games in Turkey in 2013.

Ivan Sliskovic’s statement to olympiacossfp.gr: “I am very excited to come to a big club like Olympiacos. I spoke to the people of the club and I saw that they have ambitions for big things. Hopefully, I can help with that, so I’m looking forward to the start of the season. I also know how good the fans are here, so I’m excited to play the games in front of this crowd, with such a strong support.”
