AEK after winning the handball championship comes stronger with new faces. The Union has announced that Kostis Bounas is added to the team’s technical team as a direct partner of Alexis Albanos.
The announcement
Coaching started for Kostis Buna from Doukas in the 2003/04 season, being a coach at the Academies. From 2005 to 2013 he was a coach at the Academies of G.A.S. Kamaterou, while from 2007 to 2010 he was also the coach of the men’s team. Earlier, in the 2006-07 season, he was an assistant coach at Vrilissia, while for two years (2012-2014) he was an assistant coach at Diomedes Argos, with whom he celebrated winning the Challenge Cup in 2011. From 2014 to 2017 he was an associate coach at IEK Xini Dikeas and from 2017 to 2022 he was a coach at Doukas. In February 2022, he took over the women’s Handball team of Nea Ionia, with which he reached the Finals of the championship.
Kostis Bounas, after the formalization of the agreement, said to aek.gr: “I am very happy to start my collaboration with the AEK team. “Enos” is a team of high standards, which always aims to be the star. I am ready to give my best in the effort to conquer our goals this year and I am sure that through hard work and teamwork we will achieve it.
