The winning streak of the national team was broken by Serbia

The first period started with our National Team entering with enthusiasm! Walkap, Lountzis, Rogavopoulos, Mitoglou and Papagiannis are the chosen ones of Dimitris Itoudis for the starting five, with Rogavopoulos taking a foul from Bogdanovic in his attempt for a three-pointer and hitting the shots for 3-2, while Mitoglou with two consecutive of the three-pointer put us ahead with 9-4!

Bogdanovic responded with a three-pointer to make it 9-7 before Milutinov and Guduric tied it at 11-11. The Serbs went on a 10-2 run to take a 14-11 advantage on an Abramovic three-pointer, with Papapetrou taking the floor early and ending the first period with the visitors ahead 16-13.

Our national team lost its offensive concentration at the beginning of the second quarter and the Serbs took advantage of it by hitting the “drawing board”, bringing the difference in their favor to 9 (15-24), with Milutinov and Ristic as protagonists. Thanasis Antetokounmpo took to the floor and, in addition to his well-known energy, scored 5 consecutive points, reducing to 20-26, while Papapetrou with a three-pointer and Moraitis, after an impressive steal from Nedovic and a surprise layup, reduced to 25- 28!

Milutinov reached 12 personal points, while Rogavopoulos reached 9 for the National team, providing valuable solutions in defense and attack, before tying the game at 34-34. Goodrich with a three-pointer and Petrusev with a layup made it 35-39 in the first half.

Dimitris Itoudis started the third period with Walkup, Lountzis, Larentzakis, Papapetrou and Mitoglou, with Papapetrou faking perfectly and scoring with a long two-pointer for 35-41. However, these were also the only points of our National Team for a long time, with Serbia taking advantage of it and making its biggest difference in the game, after a 13-2 run to lead 37-52.
