Jonsson: “It’s a tragedy, we’re sad but we have to play football”

In the tragedy that took place last week in New Philadelphia, at the Dinamo Zagreb-AEK press conference, the Jens Jonson.

The Danish midfielder emphasized that the psychology of him and his teammates is not at the best level after what happened, as some things are above football, but he emphasized that they went to the Croatian capital to compete and claim qualification.

For the fact that the last match was a few days ago and for the series of matches: “It doesn’t affect me. We would have to play home and away anyway. We came here to win, whether we’re playing here in the second game or the first game. This is what we want in our stadium as well, it is in the DNA of the team. For the days, of course it’s not ideal, but that’s how it is, we can’t change it, we train hard.”

As for whether the fact adds extra pressure: “It gives extra motivation, we want to make our world proud, to give some kind of justice.”
