Jayda Rice became a PAOK basketball player on Friday. The Amateur announced the acquisition of the 24-year-old American center for the next year, in order to strengthen the racket ahead of the next season.
Rice has played in US Colleges.
In detail, the announcement:
“PAOK and women’s basketball, PAOK KYANA, announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Jayda Rice, for the 2023-2024 season.
Born in the USA on 31/07/1999, Jada Rice plays as a center and is 193cm tall.
She took her first steps in basketball at the University of North Carolina, recording her first NCAA appearances as a rookie. In the 2021-22 season, he transferred to the University of Alabama. In her first year as a starter, she played 34 games, averaging 6.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks.
Last season (2022-23) was split into two parts. At the University of Alabama in 31 games he recorded 6.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.1 blocks. Then after graduating, he played second half for Australia’s Norwood Flames. There, in almost 29 minutes of participation, he achieved 8.6 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2 blocks.
She is a highly dynamic player, who will provide solutions with the racket, giving height and significant help in the post and rebounds.
Regarding the start of cooperation with PAOK, Jayda Rice stated on the club’s official website, acpaok.gr: “I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity given to me to come to Greece and PAOK. I want to thank the management and coaching staff for their trust. It’s an honor for me to be a member of the PAOK family and I can’t wait for the season to start to see what we can achieve.”
