Greece is in the role of the protagonist another year lined up in the Balkan Pong Ping Pong Pong Tennis Championships of Constantinople with five athletes and four athletes and hunting great awards. The Men’s National, number 4 in seeding, will compete in the third group with Bulgaria (head) and Bosnia/Herzegovina. In other groups, Turkey, Serbia, Albania are in the first and Romania, Italy, Kosovo in the second.
In women, eight countries participate and were divided into two groups. Our representative band (number 3 in seeding) went to the second with opponents of Turkey (head), Bosnia/Herzegovina and Kosovo. The other group will meet Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria and Albania.
The Greek mission went to Constantinople on Tuesday, led by the federal coaches, Kostas Vatsaklis and Christos Lami. In the afternoon he also did a workout at the Gymnasium. The country is represented by athletes George Stamatouros, Konstantinos Konstantinopoulos, Tasos Riniotis, Gerasimos Hadjyligoutioudis, Alexandros Madessis and athletes Katerina Toliou, Elizabeth Terpou, Ioanna Gerasimatou.
The Balkan Senior Table Tennis Championships program opens at 09:00 (the same time as Greek) with group women’s groups, and at 11:00 will be the opening ceremony. From 11:30 they take the group of group men. They end on the same day and on Thursday the knockouts are held. The quarter -finals are at 09:00, the semifinals at 13:00 (alongside the rankings) and the final at 17:00 (women) and 19:00 (men).
Each team match can have up to five individual individual matches, so it ends from 3-0 to 3-2 sets. The second part of the championship includes individual competitions.
