Eight huge Chinese flags were waving, framing the portrait of Mao Zedong, the founder of Communist China, which is at the top of the Gate of Heavenly Peace overlooking Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world.
Opposite the road, near the large hall of the people, two huge flower -like flowers honoring the end of World War II had been raised next to seats for about 50,000 guests, who saw aerial demonstrations, parades of troops and troops, Battle tanks.
Guards had been placed at the entrances of elevated crossings and bridges to prevent any protests.
Communist party officials had devoted months by planning and preparing the first military parade after six years. More than 200,000 flags were raised throughout the capital.
Apparently, the parade was organized to honor the 80th anniversary of Japan’s tradition to China’s war and victory over a occupation. But for Si it was much more than that. This was given by 26 foreign state leaders, including Vladimir Putin in Russia and Kim Jong Un of North Korea, whose presence was a diplomatic victory for the Chinese leader.
