A red-hot Pavlidis scored twice in Alkmaar’s upset victory

Vangelis Pavlidis found the net – twice in fact – in Alkmaar’s 3-1 away victory over Valvajk, for the second matchday of the Eredivisie.

The visitors found themselves back on the scoreboard, however, two goals by the Greek striker and one by De Witt turned the match upside down.

In particular, the home team opened the scoring in the 41st minute with an accurate penalty shot by Kramer, after a handball by De Wit.

At the beginning of the second half, Pavlidis had a great opportunity to equalize which he missed, but the same did not happen in the 54th minute, when he took advantage of a mistake in the defense and made it 1-1.

Five minutes later De Wit made it 2-1, while in the 79th minute the Greek international made the final 3-1 with a shot.
