Solon Aggeli became a Karditsa player on Tuesday. Thessaly announced the acquisition of the 20-year-old Cypriot forward for next year. Aggelis has played for many teams in his hometown in the past and last season he wore the jersey of Ikaros Kallithea.

“AS Karditsas announces the start of the collaboration with Solonas Aggelis. The Cypriot athlete, in turn, took part in our team’s transitional training period during June and, with his presence, showed he was ready to take the opportunity at the highest level.
Solon Aggeli is 20 years old and 2.05m tall. plays as a forward. His basketball journey started at ETHA Engomi in Nicosia, to be followed by Achilleus Kaimakliou.
Afterwards, he joined Prometheus of Patras, with whom he won the Panhellenic Children’s Championship in the 2018-2019 season. With the same team, he placed fourth in the Panhellenic Junior Championship in the 2019-20 season and competed in the Next Generation Tournament of the Euroleague.
In the two years 2021-23, the young forward wore the jersey of Ikaros Kallithea in the 3rd National League and during last season’s season he made his debut in the 2nd National League with NEOL. With the Lixouri team, Solon averaged 5.9 ppg, making 11 three-pointers. Also, he has been ‘anointed’ an international player with the national youth and youth team of Cyprus.
