She forgets it and looks ahead Hellas!

USA they confirmed the title of favorite against the National team, which they defeated 109-81for 2/2 in the third group of the World Cup.

Now, his band Dimitris Itoudis turns to the… final with the New Zealandwhich will take place next Wednesday (30/8, 15:40).

The first scorer from the representative team was George Papagiannis with 17 points, while others 14p. added the Nikos Rogavopoulos.

From Team USA, the leader was Austin Reeves with 15 points.

The match

Greece started with Papagiannis, Thanasis, Papanikolaou, Lountzis and Walkap. The match had a very fast pace from the first attacks, with the National team entering strongly. With Papagiannis leading the way, who started very hungry, the two teams went hand in hand for most of the first period (17-18). In the final three minutes, the internationals were off target, with the Americans running the open field, making individual scores 2-5 and closing the first quarter at +4 (19-23).

The two teams were close in the first two minutes of the second period (24-27). Then, the USA took advantage of the “breathers” taken by the “five hundred” of Greece and with the forwards of Reeves and Bankero scored individually 1-15, for +17 (25-42), in the 16th minute. There, Itoudis put Papagianni, Papanikolaou and Walkap on the floor again, with the National team “tightening” defensively and with the right choices in the attack reducing the difference to single digits (36-44), in the 18th minute. However, in the last two minutes the internationals lost their rhythm and the Americans reacted, going to the locker room with +13 (37-50).

The image of the match did not change at the beginning of the second half. Greece was ineffective on both ends of the floor, with the USA maintaining complete control of the contest. Thus, from halftime onwards, the Americans increased the difference by more than 20 points (42-63) and, continuing at the same pace, closed the third period at +23 (56-79).

The game was just as free in the fourth quarter, with Dimitris Itoudis doing extensive rotation and giving more playing time to players who didn’t have it. On the other hand, the Americans had the same pace, with the difference even escaping to +30 (71-101) and the final score being 109-81.

The quarters: 19-23, 37-50, 56-79, 81-109
