World Cup: Round of 16 ends today

In the shadow of Greece’s “final” with New Zealand, today the pending matters from the first phase of World Cup.

In his other game third group in Manila, the USA is expected to easily go 3/3 against already eliminated Jordan.

For second group, also in Manila, no team has yet qualified, nor has anyone been eliminated. Serbia with a victory over South Sudan takes the lead with 3/3, while Puerto Rico will be second if they beat China.

To sixth group, in Okinawa, also no one has qualified or been eliminated. Slovenia with 2/2 is in an advantageous position and with a win over Cape Verde they will go first. Eddie Tavares’ side are looking for a miracle, since they will have to beat the Slovenians and Georgia lose to Venezuela at the same time. Elias Zouro’s team with a win will be in the second phase.

Finally, to seventh group of Jakarta, Spain “captures” the lead with 3/3 if they beat the already eliminated Iran, while the winner of Ivory Coast-Brazil will qualify for the “16”.
