ESPN renewed the contract with two former players who were idols in their teams in São Paulo football. Former Palmeiras goalkeeper Fernando Prass and former São Paulo midfielder Silas signed a new bond with Disney’s sports channel.

Both renewed for two years, and will be exclusive until the second half of 2025.

The renewal information was confirmed by Disney to the F5. Both will continue with their current roles, participating in programs such as Resenha da Rodada, F90 and SportsCenter.

In addition, they continue to act in the live broadcasts of tournaments involving Brazilian clubs, such as Libertadores da América, Copa Sudamericana and Copa do Nordeste.

In his professional career, Fernando Prass defended teams of great expression, being revealed by Grêmio and conquering idol status with the supporters of Palmeiras and Vasco.

Before ESPN, he worked as a commentator on TNT Sports, Warner Bros Discovery’s sports channel on digital platforms, and on some Copa do Brasil games on Amazon Prime Video.

Silas arrived at ESPN in 2019. The former player number 10 of the Brazilian National Team in the 1990 World Cup accumulated outstanding passages in several national football teams, with emphasis on São Paulo, Internacional and Vasco da Gama.
