Doncic: “Many times I can’t control myself and I have a problem with that”

About Slovenia’s defeat by Canada, his expulsion, but also about his irritation, he spoke at the press conference Luka Doncic.

The Dallas Mavericks star emphasized that when someone plays for his national team, he has a lot of emotions, which he himself many times can’t control something that today cost him his expulsion.

His statements in detail:

“First of all congratulations to Canada. They played very well. They have one of the best players in the world (ie Cy Gilgeous-Alexander), it’s very difficult to mark him. I’m proud of my team. Everyone gave 100%.

Everyone knows why I was irritated. When you play for the national team there are many emotions. Many times I can’t control myself. And I have a problem with that. The referees told a player that they would not whistle the fouls. I don’t think that’s fair. I know I complain a lot, but it’s not fair. They play very physical against me, but if you say that…, it’s not fair.

A lot of people don’t like Dillon Brooks, but I respect him for what he does and he does it very well.

I would say it at the end if no one asked me. The people here in the Philippines are incredible and I really appreciate the love they have shown me.

It starts with me. I have to be better for my team. Like I said, when you play for your country, you want to give your best, to die out there.”
