Takis Baltakos sent a letter to Alexander Ceferin, which is in the same direction as that of the Super League on the issue of foreign referees. The president of the EPO assures the president of UEFA that the Federation will do its best for their safety if the European confederation gives the “green light” for elite referees or A’ division to come.
Earlier, Vangelis Marinakis as the president of Stoiximan Super League had sent a letter to Alexander Ceferin asking for Elite referees or A’ category in the upcoming derbies. “As Super League, we would like to ensure the safety of foreign match referees during their stay in Greece. This will ensure that all match referees feel safe and accommodated accordingly», he reported Vangelis Marinakis.
The letter in detail
The president of the Hellenic Football Federation, Panagiotis Baltakos, recently sent the following letter to the president of UEFA, Alexander Ceferin, regarding the issue of UEFA’s Elite and A’ category referees.
“Dear President,
Dear Alexander
To facilitate your decision regarding the Elite and A’ division referees, regarding their participation in the Hellenic SL1 matches, I assure you that EPO will do its best regarding the safety and accommodation of these referees.
Since SL1 also assures that it will move in the same direction, I have no hesitation in asking, for the last time, that you allow these referees to come to Greece.
I am sorry for the inconvenience caused both to you personally and to UEFA in general».
