Stefanos and Petros Tsitsipas lost the first set in doubles


He started with the left one duo of Stefanos and Petros Tsitsipas his crucial doubles match Davis Cup against the Slovakia and Lukas Klein and Igor Zelenay, at Kalimarmaro Stadium on Sunday morning.

The Slovak broke in the first game and then held his serve winning the first set 6-3.

The match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alex Molchan will follow immediately after the doubles at 13:00, while the program will close with the game (if necessary) between Alexandros Skorilas and Lucas Klein.

The pair is judged on three wins. The two teams managed one win each in yesterday’s opening day matches and as can be seen, today’s encounters are gaining immense interest as they will decide the winner of the encounter.

Alexandros Skorilas (No. 766 in the world) lost 6-1, 6-1 to Slovakian Alex Molchan (No. 113), in the opening of the games at the Panathinaikos stadium.

Immediately afterwards, Stefanos Tsitsipas (No. 5 in the world ranking) beat the impressive Lukas Klein (No. 149), after an exciting match in which the first two sets were decided in a tie break, 6-7, 7-6, and the Slovak retired in the third set while it was 4-0 in favor of the Greek champion.
