P. Angelopoulos: “Vassilis is the best in the history of Olympiakos, he deserves it!”

For the big one Vasilis Spanoulis the presidents of Olympiakos spoke, George and Panagiotis Angelopoulos.

In a spectacular event in honor of “Kill Bill”, the presidents of the “red and white” opened the dance of declarations, moving both the people present at SEF and themselves Vassilis Spanoulis.

“He is the best in the history of Olympiakos. One of the best in Europe. For tonight, I thank the people, the personalities from all over Europe who came here tonight to honor Basil. Historic night, Vassilis deserves it, Olympiacos deserves it. Vassilis brought with his daily presence on the field the spirit of the winner, the refusal of defeat. On his part, Mr George Angelopoulos he referred to the signing of Vassilis Spanoulis in 2010, emphasizing that he earned the title of leader by himself all these years with his presence in the locker room and on the floor:

“When the world speaks, we should be silent. In 2010 when we started the discussions with Vassilis, it was very difficult to make this move. We reached an impasse and said it won’t happen after all. We had talked with Vassilis since he was in Marousi. I was in the US, I talked to Panagiotis and I said we should do it. As soon as I arrived in Greece, we signed with Vassilis. With Vassilis, the leader of Olympiakos, we experienced magical, historic, dreamlike moments. He was a leader and he earned it in the locker room and on the field. He won it with his sword. He deserves what he lives today. In these years with Vassilis there were also difficult days. To his credit, he supported all the decisions in 2011 and until the end. Santa, thank you for everything.”
