At the limit of Retsos and Biel cards in Olympiakos

by

With the change that took place this year in the disciplinary code of the EPO, from this year players will fill in cards when this happens three times.

To OlympicPanagiotis Retsos was from the previous game against Lamia, while Pep Biel also has two from yesterday, who saw the yellow card from Dias in the derby with AEK in New Philadelphia, for the 4th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League.

In detail what the disciplinary code says in article 7, paragraph 4

The following cases of observations will result in automatic disqualification from the next match:

a) Completion of three (3) observations (three yellow cards) in matches of the same event, incur a one (1) match day ban.

b) Completion of six (6) observations (six yellow cards) in matches of the same event, incur a one (1) match day ban.

Completion of three (3) observations again (ie nine, twelve, etc. yellow cards) will result in a one (1) match day ban.

The punishment for a double yellow

A player who sees two yellow cards in the same match and is sent off with a red, serves the next game and the 2 yellow cards he saw are cancelled, which was already the case in the regulation. So, in the case of Karahalios who was sent off with Kifissia and is again at 0 (zero) yellow cards, regardless of whether the Super League on its site still shows him with 2.

In detail what the disciplinary code says in article 7, paragraph 3.

Two observations (2) (two yellow cards) during the same match lead to expulsion (indirect red card) and consequently automatic exclusion from the next match. In this case the two comments (yellow cards) that led to the red card are cancelled.
