Furiozos Panserraikos, got the ball with PAS!

by

Panseraikos with quality and mental reserves, he got his second consecutive victory and continues to fly high!

The “lions” won 3-2 PAS Ioannina in Serres for its 6th matchday Stoiximan Super Leaguein an amazing game that kept the interest undiminished until the last second, with a red card, a missed penalty, changes in the score and the Alexic to redeem his team in the 90th minute.

Guests pay for his poor judgment Clayman in the home team’s second goal and the general inertia they showed in their blocking function, with the home team not letting the consecutive mistakes go unexploited. The goals for Panserraikos were scored by Peleas, Staikos and Alexics, while for “Ajax of Epirus” Pantelakis and the excellent Chaousis who also had an assist.

So, the whole of it Pablo Garcia entered the top four of the standings with nine points and is tied with Panathinaikos and OFI, while o PAS remained in 10th place with five points. The next matchday (7th) the “lions” face away from home Bullet (01/10, 16:30), while the Ioannina team welcomes him Olympic in “Zosimades” (01/10, 20:30).

In… the mind of the coaches:

Pablo Garcia brought Panserraikos down with just one change from the match against Lamia as Hadjistravos replaced Tomas in attack, suggesting the Uruguayan was fully satisfied with the display his players put in. Specifically, Hovan was under the posts, the foursome with Deligiannidis, Avlonitis, Bergström, Petavrakis remained the same, Staikos, Ouedraogo and Hadjistravos took their place in the midfield, while Peleas and Mourgos started on the “wings”, with a center for Alexic.

On the other hand, neither Thanasis Staikos significantly changed the faces of PAS Ioannina’s lineup, compared to the match against PAOK. Kleiman under the goalposts, Tsoushis replaced Kiakos, with Soria, Eramouspe and Pantelakis remaining in the defensive line. In the midfield position was taken by Karahalios and Gino, with Tsima, Pamlidis on the wings and Garos close to Conte who returned to the top of the visitors’ attack.

The match:

Excellent start to the game, with both teams coming on very strong and finding the net in their first good moments. In the 6th minute, the home team attacked from the left and Hadjistravos, in his attempt to enter the area, was knocked down by Karachalios, with Gortsilas showing the white arrow. The execution was undertaken by Peleas who with a strong hit sent the ball into the left corner of Kleiman for 1-0.

The guests, however, responded immediately and brought the game to a balance in the 11th minute for 1-1! PAS won a free-kick from the left, Tsaoussi’s strike found Pantelakis perfectly, who headed unmolested and sent the ball into Hovan’s net.

From that point on, the Lions took possession, were in control and missed important chances to take the lead again. In the 15th minute, a shot by Deligiannidis went over the crossbar, while two minutes later Hatzistravos came within a breath of the goal. The Serres team quickly changed the ball, the 23-year-old became the final receiver and dribbled well, but the shot he attempted went wide.

The supremacy of Panserraikos continued, they pressed high successfully and in the 24th minute they missed an incredible opportunity, with the people on the field unable to believe that their team did not take the lead in the score. In a corner from the left, Avlonitis took the header, Kleiman saved, with Aleksic taking the rebound, but then sending the ball from half a meter high out!

So, after Pablo Garcia’s team did not find the way to the net with its superiority and superiority, Kleiman had to make a huge mistake in the 32nd minute! Staikos made a shot from a distance, the goalkeeper of PAS showed that he was in control, however he lost the ball, which continuously “gelled”, through his hands and the “lions” made it 2-1! The hosts tried to find a third goal with the chances of Aleksic and Staikou in the 35th and 37th respectively, but the 2-1 remained until the end of the first half.

The start of the second half belonged entirely to the team of Thanasis Staikos, with the arrival of Rosero proving to be pivotal for the offensive operation of PAS. The 24-year-old tried a long-range shot in the 58th minute, the ball took a strange trajectory and Hovan had to make a difficult clearance for a corner.

A minute later (59′) Pantelakis threatened with a header and in 62′ came the equalizing goal with the excellent Tsaousis! Rossero made the cross from the left, Conte tried to turn but the ball was laid to the Greek left back who shot into the left corner of Hovan and sent the ball into the net.

In the 67th minute, specifically at a point in time when the pace of the match had dropped, Gino brought down Murgos in the area and the referee showed the white arrow for the second time on behalf of the home team. Pelios took over -again- the execution, however his shot did not have the desired effect, since the powerful execution he attempted went over the crossbars.

Then the game went from strength to strength, the phases in both homes were reduced to a great extent and the “lions” managed to find the winning goal in the 90′! Brilliant free kick by Petavrakis, who with a dribble pass found Aleksic in a position on the inside left of the opposing area, with the forward of Serrai executing with a diagonal shot. Terrible moments followed in the celebrations, with the goalscorer seeing the yellow card as he took off his shirt.

In the 90+5′, the guests were left with 10 players, after Sofianos tried to step into the area – where he would have gone all alone in a four-to-four position – but Karahalios pulled him from the shirt and saw the red card. 3-2 did not change until the final whistle for Panserraikos, who remained unbeaten for the fifth match in a row and shows that they have come to the first division to… stay.

MVP: Hadjistravos played for 54 minutes, but was excellent and a constant source of danger for the PAS defense. He won the penalty that Peleas converted into a goal, he had 16/17 transfers, while in the 17th minute he came a breather from the goal with a nice opportunity.

The whistle: Gortsilas had a lot of work with two penalties and a red card, but his decisions were correct and overall he had a good presence.

Panserraikos (Pablo Garcia): Hovan, Deligiannidis (Dunkerlouis 86′), Avlonitis, Bergström, Petavrakis, Peleas (Maskanakis 71′), Ouedraogo (Thymianis 87′), Staikos, Mourgos (Sofianos 71′), Hatzistravos (Moreira 55′), Aleksic.
