PAE Kifissia announces the signing of Morgan Schneiderlan, who plays as a defensive midfielder.

Morgan Schneiderlin was born on November 8, 1989 in Strasbourg, France and started his football career from the infrastructure sections of Racing Strasbourg, reaching the first team of the French club.

His very good performances with Racing Strasbourg and consistent presence in France’s junior national teams led him to England for Southampton at the age of just 19.

He stayed at the “Saints” for seven years, being their key member throughout this time and recording a total of 261 appearances with 15 goals and 11 assists in all competitions. His credentials with Southampton prompted Manchester United to shell out €35m for him in the summer of 2015.

In the year and a half he played (47 appearances) at Old Trafford, he celebrated winning two titles, the FA Cup (2016) and the Community Shield (2017).

Another multi-million transfer followed in January 2017, with Everton paying €23 million to acquire his rights. He stayed there for three and a half years, making 88 appearances in all competitions.

In the summer of 2020, after a full eight years in the Premier League in three teams (Southampton, Manchester United, Everton) with a total of 200 appearances, 13 goals and 4 assists, he made his way back to France, accepting the offer made to him Nice, where he stayed for two and a half years. During this time he made 59 appearances in Ligue 1 and Coupe de France.

This was followed by a six-month loan to Western Sydney, Australia, with whose colors he played in 12 matches. This summer, he initially signed a cooperation contract with Koniaspor, from which he left due to a personal problem.

The presence in the French National Team is also added to the great journey he has made so far. On 8 June 2014, Didier Deschamps gave him the opportunity to wear the shirt of his country’s representative group, with which he played in 15 matches, while he was in the France squad at both the 2014 World Cup and Euro 2016, reaching until the final of the event hosted in France.

PAE Kifisia welcomes him to its family, wishes him health and every success.
