The match between AEK and the Ajaxon Thursday night (5/10) at OPAP Arena.
First of all, they will be at the “Union” stadium 585 fans of “Aianda”, who will gather early in the afternoon at the Kallimarmaro Stadium (as had happened with their counterparts in Antwerp). From there they will transfer to New Philadelphia by city buses and enter the stadium from the underground.
It should be noted that AEK issued a statement – supplementary to that of Wednesday (4/10) – in which it also draws the attention of its fans to other issues. Among other things, it clarifies that will not be allowed (for both her friends and those of Ajax) banners or shirts with insignia of other teams, which are domestic rivals of the two clubs playing tonight.
In detail, the AEK announcement:
“PAE AEK informs that the last meeting regarding the security measures for the match against Ajax took place on Wednesday afternoon. Representatives of the two teams participated, the UEFA officials responsible for the specific match and the heads of the police force that will be responsible for maintaining order.
In relation to the content of PAE AEK’s announcement on Wednesday (4/10), it is necessary to add that UEFA pointed out that it is a non-negotiable condition, apart from the fact that there are no unsportsmanlike / abusive / political or racist banners or placards inside the stadium content, there should also be no flags of other countries, except Greek and Dutch, neither in the stands of the home team, nor in that of the guests. In any such case the match will not start until such banners or flags have been removed.
In addition, it is forbidden to have fans of either AEK or Ajax wearing the respective insignia of other teams that are domestic rivals of the two clubs that are competing tonight. Also, through the very strict control that will take place, no other team’s banner will pass except for AEK and Ajax.
Friends of AEK, once again we ask you to take seriously all these suggestions and in a spirit of cooperation to protect our team.
Finally, we remind you that the doors open at 16.45. Be sure to arrive at the stadium as early as possible to minimize any potential inconvenience».
