A new incident of intimidation-harassment occurred in Evia, this time against two elderly people, on Wednesday, October 4, in a supermarket parking lot in Artaki.
According to the report, two young Roma people basically mugged the elderly people so that they could sell them the windshield wipers by changing the ones in their vehicle, on the spot.
The Police were immediately called to intervene, however, as soon as two young men heard the call to the authorities, they ran away, leaving through the fields, to avoid arrest.
The managers of the store were also informed about the incident in order to be suspicious and to be aware of a future visit by the group of fraudsters to the site in order to act immediately by calling the authorities and securing the area.
According to local residents, breaking windshield wipers is one of their usual practices in order to force car owners to buy those who sell them and exploit those old ones, giving them as spare parts in order to make additional profit.
