It was hard, but Vouliagmeni defeated AEK

In a real “thriller”, Vouliagmeni defeated Alimos AEK 11-10 for the fifth match of the men’s A1 polo and found themselves at the top of the standings with one match more than the previous co-champions, Panionios, leaving Union far behind in the rating.

NOV fought with many young players in its composition and the “yellow and black” took advantage of it, since, while losing 0-2 and 4-5, they led 9-6. The visitors improved their defense in the fourth period and with a counter attack and a 0-5 run they managed to turn the tide 9-11, to reach the final 10-11.

Highly competitive AEK, who scored on the player above in the last phase off the post, with the goal canceled for offside. Union coach Nikos Venetopoulos was sent off with a red card – as the score sheet also states – at 0.09 of the third period, for kicking the chair on the bench and having previously received a yellow card.
