Alafuzos: “Huancar may have lost part of his hearing – The regulation is clear”

“There is no foreign investment. Who would want to invest? We have a corrupt system in which only one team wins, the one that controls the federation, the referees, the sanctions on other teams. We don’t have any investment from abroad, because in Greece we have a lot of corruption in the federation and the referees, this has improved, it’s not perfect, but it has improved a lot in the last five years”he said and continued:

“What happened years ago is that once one team controlled the federation and the federation was the one who appointed the referees, the referees would treat that team well. And I have no complaints from the referees, because if you have this situation in your country and it is a common practice, you either adapt to this reality or you don’t work. Fortunately, this has changed in recent years.”

Finally, the owner of PAE Panathinaikos said that the administration of EPO should be elected by the teams of the League and not by the representatives of 55 Greek regions.

“They can be pressured or threatened by a group that seeks to control the federation, it is easy for corruption to exist. This is the historical problem of Greek football. No country in Europe is perfect, but there are degrees of problems. If perfection is 100%, the most advanced countries are around 80 or 90%, in Greece we are at 50% or 60%“, concluded.
