Women’s A1 will play with one less team for the rest of the season. OA Chanion announced its withdrawal from the league, not being able to meet the demands of the category.
The announcement:
“OA Chanion is in the particularly unpleasant position of announcing the withdrawal of the women’s basketball team from the A1 National Division.
The decision was taken unanimously by the members of the Board of Directors. in an extraordinary meeting held on Monday evening (10/30).
After a beautiful journey of five years and the collection of rich experiences, this journey ends at this point, certainly not in the way it should. Nevertheless, a new adventure begins for our association, which hopes to return to the paths of glory and success in the future.
We deeply regret this fact, however a number of reasons led us to this tough decision.
It is noted that all the other basketball departments will continue their activity without interruption, where the weight will then be concentrated. In fact, Fotis Feidas takes over as the new head of the Academies, with the collaboration with Frosso Dimitrolaki coming to an end, whom the OACH thanks for her many years of service.
