Manzios: “We want the victory against Atromitos to make up for the losses we had at the beginning of the season”

He spoke about the upcoming game of Aris against Atromitos in “Kleanthis Vikelidis” (5/11, 20:15) for the 10th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League Akis Manzios.

The coach of the “yellows” of Thessaloniki insisted that his team should be even more creative compared to their previous games, he mentioned the many injury problems he is facing, while he added that every victory also raises the psychology of his players.

For the upcoming game with Intrepid: “Sure, we’re better. We have said it, every victory helps the psychology of the team and the players. It’s another week that despite all our problems, we worked well and we want to continue with a win in Sunday’s game.

We have certainly improved some things. We want to have more options, but unfortunately the problems we have during this time, almost every week, make our work difficult, but if we look in general, the team has improved in several areas”.

We have to get a little more creative, over a longer period of the game. And in the game against Panserraikos and in the game against Ioannina, especially against Ioannina in the first half, we didn’t have such a good creation. It is certainly difficult to face a team that plays massive defense with 11 players. We lacked the elements we needed to have to break down those defences, which we found in the second half. Nevertheless, as a number of final attempts, I think we made a pretty good number, 17 with PAS Ioannina and 22 with Panserraikos. We want to fix some things in terms of breaking down opponents and have more creation in the game.”.

On Fabiano’s absence: “It’s a problem, we’ll see how we manage it, the truth is that in some positions we have a very big problem but I think it’s game by game and what options we’ll have to find to cover the gaps that exist”.

For the Fearless: “He has a new coach, there is a writing sample from the previous game with Panaitolikos. For me, Atromitos is a good team, it has good and quality footballers, I think it needs attention. We don’t have a lot of writing samples in terms of how to play with the new manager, but I don’t think things can change dramatically in a week, so Atromitos has some constants that we have analyzed and I think we will perform at an even better level in the game of Sunday.

We want now that we have a better mentality to continue a win on Sunday, to improve even more in the standings, to take the team as high as possible and to definitely cover the losses that the team had at the beginning of the Championship by getting points.
