by

A great win, against… everyone and everythinghe managed and finally got the Panathinaikoswho won 2-1 the Ghoulin “Athanassios Diakos”, in its context 10th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League.

The “clover” took the lead with a great goal Mladenovic -first of- at 31′to see the hosts equalize with… ex-green Carlitos in the 64th minute.

The referee Manouhos left Panathinaikos with 10 players sending off Arao with a -non-existent- second yellow card at 83′however the comers from the bench Bernard and Sporar they worked together flawlessly in the 90th minute with the second shaping the final result with an elusive header!

Yes, the Slovenian striker he also missed a penaltywhich Palacios won from Aitor’s cross in the eighth minute of stoppage time in the… episodic, as it turned out, match.

Thus, the “greens” – which were not good, especially in the repetition, but they got out of character again– they remained in the first place of the standings, with 25 points and +4 with more matches than the second Olympiakos, facing Kifisia away from home the next matchday.

At the same time, Lamia she confirmed with her appearance the very good work being done this year, however, experienced its first defeat after three consecutive winning games in the league, remaining 5th with 15 points, while it will be hosted by AEK.

In the minds of the coaches:

THE Ghoul lined up in formation 4-2-3-1, Koselef in goal and Simon, Papadopoulos, Tzanetopoulos and Sidkley four at the back. Jandaris and Nunes were the “cutters” with Slivkas in front of them, while Tsiloulis and Martinez fought on the “wings” and Carlitos at the top of the attack.

THE Panathinaikos on the other hand, he also “went down” with a system 4-2-3-1with seven changes and Brignoli under the goalposts. Vaiannidis, Senkefeld, Jedvaj and Mladenovic formed the four in defense and Ruben-Cherin the two midfielders in the axis. With Mancini and Verbic at the two ends of the attack and Djuricic behind Ioannidis, who was the only forward.

The match:

With… acquired speed from the previous match, against Panserraikos, Panathinaikos entered today as well, which caught up to make three phases in less than… a minute, at the beginning.

However, Mancini’s dangerous turn from the right after 20 seconds went untapped, while Ioannidis’ shot followed which stopped Tzanetopoulos but saw the ball stop at the beam by Koselev in the 48th minute, for Mladenovic’s missed shot to start the phase!

Lamia “answered” in the 9th minute, with their own double missed opportunity created by a mistake by Vagiannidis and allowing Karlitos to counter-attack with Tsiloulis, who sent the ball to beam. With the Spanish striker getting the ‘rebound’ but unable to beat Brignoli…

After the… explosive quarter, the “greens” continued to have control of the match, possession of the ball but not good options in the third half of the field. We had to reach the 28th minute for them to register their next opportunity, with the execution of a corner by Tserin from the right and the header of Ioannidis which was impressively blocked in the right corner by Koselev.

Finally, Panathinaikos took the lead three minutes later. When from Mancini’s nice effort from the right and the filling in the area, the ball reached the opposite side, outside and to the left where Mladenovic with an… elusive shot sent it to the “range” of Koselev, for 0-1!

However, Ivan Jovanovic’s side… persisted in showing sluggishness on several occasions at the back, while the hosts continued to follow their plan, moving the ball forward quickly.

Somehow, they even had two more good moments in order to equalize. Initially in the 39′, with Sidclay crossing dangerously in the area, but Martinez sending the ball over the bar, into an empty net! While Jedvai caught up with the Spaniard two minutes later, with Nunes unable to beat Brignoli either, in the 42nd minute…

In the second half, the pace was not as high, with both teams unable to become as threatening, although Lamia showed the will to look for the goal more… lively.

In fact, it was Panathinaikos who had the first good chance in the replay, in the 58th minute, with Cerin’s corner from the right and Arao’s header, but Koselev blocked.

The Fthiotida team generally controlled the situation, taking advantage of their opponent’s inability to clean up the game, and this is how they finally reached the equaliser… As Tsiloulis’ effort from the left and turning in the area, the ball reaches Karlitos, who with place that he also finds in Mladenovic, he made it 1-1 in the 64th minute!

The match became a… rodeo after that, after chances followed on both sides, with Koselef beating Ioannidis in two phases and Palasios turning over, Manouhos awarding a penalty and then having it, rightly, revoked for offside at the start of the phase, in 72′.

While Leonidas Vokolou’s team reached the turning point, in the 78th minute, Tsilouli’s goal was correctly disallowed, due to the scorer’s offside.

With the restart of the match, Manouhos decided to send off Arao, with a second yellow card in the 83′, unfairly and while everything was against the “clover”, it managed to escape from Lamia with the three points…

With Bernard’s wonderful cross and Sporar’s excellent header marking the 1-2, in the 90′, while the scorer also missed a penalty in… 98′, due to Palasios’ overturning!

MVP: Once again, in yet another game, Andraz Sporar, who has heard so much -again- this year, is going to prove decisive for his team! The Slovenian striker scored Panathinaikos’ winning goal again, making it four in the league and eight in total. In fact, he also missed a penalty in stoppage time, to make his contribution to winning the “three points” even more resounding.

the “whistle”: Terrible… the discovery of the referee Manouhou who dismissed Arao in a phase where he did not even commit a foul! In general, the referee from Argolis succeeded and showed more cards against the players of the “trefoil” even though the home team committed more fouls and played harder… Correct cancellation of both goals, one from each team, with the intervention of the VAR.

The compositions of the two teams:
