With more than 200 entries comes the established tournament of Patras “Ioannis Asimakopoulos”

The series of development tournaments of the EFOEPA for the period 2023-2024 is being transferred to the Peloponnese this week.

The 3rd open of the season will be held on 18 and 19/11 in Patras, which for many years has been a stable and fully recognized station in the junior championships and meets with a significant response each time.

In another open, the final registrations exceeded 200 and in the closed gym “Kostas Petropoulos” (Koukouli) it is expected that 207 athletes from 46 associations of the whole country will be there. It became possible again, in fact, to make all 8 age categories from mini-children to teenagers. This year’s open championship is the 12th, hosted by Patras. It is organized by E.F.O.E.P.A. in collaboration with the Local Committee in Western Greece and is always dedicated to the memory of the former president of T.E. and member of the administration of the federation Ioannis Asimakopoulos.

This year’s development series started in Attica (Pefki), then went to Thessaly (Volos) and now passes through the Peloponnese, before being back in Athens in December and “visiting” Northern Greece (Veroia and Alexandroupolis) in the new year. The classic categories have been stable for a long time and now the entries are divided into 33 teenagers, 21 juniors, 42 girls, 9 girls, 46 girls, 13 girls, 29 mini girls and 14 mini girls.

The Local Committee of Western Greece of E.F.O.E.P.A. has published a first informative text about the tournament for young ages and emphasizes that “at the national stadium in Koukouli, it is organizing for the 12th time the Panhellenic open development table tennis championship with the support of the Local Government bodies and its sponsors”.
