His satisfaction with Monday’s meeting with the Greek delegation for the Confidence Building Measures Turkish Defense Minister expressed on Wednesday Yasar Guler.
“The meeting with the Greeks on Confidence Building Measures it went very well” Guler stated to the Turkish media as reported by Manolis Kostidis.
“The meeting on the MOEs went very well. Done. Now we will go to Greece,” said the Turkish Defense Minister.
“After our president’s visit (to Athens), he will the second meeting took place on Confidence Building Measures. We will talk with them, we will agree and arrange the dates” he explained.
It is noted that the two sides agreed, in principle, to implement or reactivate MOU activities during the year 2024, from the previously agreed list MOE.
The two sides also agreed to establish a contact point mechanism to communicate and facilitate the implementation of the agreed MOUs.
The head of the Greek delegation was for the first time a political figure, the ambassador Theocharis Lalakos, and not some uniformed officer.
