Euro 2024: Clears the landscape in the qualifiers

There is still a lot to do to complete the map of the teams that will take part in the Euro 2024.

Tonight (15/11-21:45) Israel and Switzerland give the “Puskas Akademia Pancho Arena”, in the city of Felchut, Hungary, the postponed (due to the Israel-Hamas war)-from the 7th match- between them, while from tomorrow (16/11) until Tuesday (21 /11) the last two – 9th and 10th – matches of the qualifying phase of Euro 2024 are scheduled.

As is known, the first two teams of each group advance to the final stage, while three more will come from the play-offs of the Nations League.

They have qualified: Austria, France, Belgium, England, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, Turkey and host Germany

Confirmed in the play-offs: Bosnia/Herzegovina, Finland, Georgia

Guaranteed at least one place in the play-offs (due to UEFA Nations League ranking): Croatia, Greece, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Serbia

They cannot finish in the top two places of the group: Andorra, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Malta, Northern Ireland, Northern Macedonia, Norway, Ireland, San Marino, Sweden

These are according to UEFA, the data and these odds in each of the 10 qualifying groups:

1st group

9th matchday (Thursday 16 November)

Georgia-Scotland, Cyprus-Spain

– Scotland and Spain qualified.

2nd group

9th matchday (Saturday, November 18)

France-Gibraltar, Netherlands-Ireland

– France qualified for the finals.

– The Netherlands will qualify if they beat Ireland.

– Greece will not be able to finish in the top two places and will be confirmed in the play-offs if the Netherlands wins.

– Ireland cannot finish in the top two.

– Gibraltar cannot finish in the top two

3rd group

9th matchday (Friday, November 17)

England-Malta, Italy-North Macedonia

– England qualified.

– If Italy beat North Macedonia, Italy would win the qualifying match against Ukraine if they avoid defeat in their last match.

– If Italy don’t beat North Macedonia, Ukraine would win their qualifier with Italy in the qualifier if they avoid defeat in their last match

– North Macedonia cannot finish in the first two places.

– Malta cannot finish in the top two.

4th group

9th matchday (Saturday, November 18)

Armenia-Wales, Latvia-Croatia

– Turkey has qualified.

– Wales will qualify if they beat Armenia and Croatia lose to Latvia.

– Croatia will not be able to finish in the top two and will be confirmed in the play-offs if Wales lose and win.

– Armenia will not be able to finish in the top two if they lose or draw and Croatia win.

– Latvia cannot finish in the top two.

5th group

9th matchday (Friday, November 17)

Moldova-Albania, Poland-Czech Republic

– Albania will qualify if they avoid defeat by Moldova or if Poland beat the Czech Republic.

– Czech Republic will qualify if they beat Poland and Moldova don’t win.

– Poland won’t be able to finish in the top two if they don’t win or if Moldova beat Albania.

– Moldova will not be able to finish in the top two if they lose to Albania and Poland vs. Czech Republic draws, or if Moldova draws and Czech Republic wins.

– The Faroe Islands cannot finish in the top two.

6th group

9th matchday (Thursday 16 November)

Estonia-Austria, Azerbaijan-Sweden

– Belgium and Austria qualified for the finals.

7th group

9th matchday (Thursday 16 November)

Montenegro-Lithuania, Bulgaria-Hungary

– Hungary will qualify if they avoid defeat by Bulgaria or if Montenegro fail to beat Lithuania.

– Serbia will qualify if Montenegro fails to beat Lithuania.

– Montenegro must win to stay in contention to finish in the top two.

– Lithuania cannot finish in the top two.

– Bulgaria cannot finish in the first two places.

8th group

9th matchday (Friday, November 17)

Denmark-Slovenia, Kazakhstan-San Marino, Finland-Northern Ireland

– Slovenia will qualify if they beat Denmark, or if Slovenia draws and Kazakhstan fails to beat San Marino, or regardless if Kazakhstan loses.

– Denmark will qualify if they beat Slovenia or Kazakhstan fail to beat San Marino.

– Kazakhstan will not be able to finish in the top two and will be confirmed in the play-offs if they lose to San Marino or if Kazakhstan draw and Slovenia do not lose.

– Finland cannot finish in the top two and will enter the play-offs.

– Northern Ireland cannot finish in the top two.

– San Marino cannot finish in the top two.

9th group

Matchday 7 game rescheduled (Wednesday 15 November)

Israel-Switzerland

9th matchday (Saturday, November 18)

Switzerland-Kosovo, Belarus-Andorra, Israel-Romania.

– Romania will qualify if Israel wins or if Israel fails to beat Switzerland and Romania avoids defeat by Israel.

– Switzerland will qualify if Israel wins.

– Israel will qualify if they beat both Switzerland and Romania and Switzerland fail to beat Kosovo. Israel will not be able to finish in the top two and will be confirmed in the play-offs if they fail to win

10th group

9th matchday (Thursday 16 November)

Slovakia-Iceland, Luxembourg-Bosnia and Herzegovina, Liechtenstein-Portugal

– Portugal qualified for the finals.

– Slovakia will qualify if they avoid defeat by Iceland.

– Luxembourg will be out of contention to finish in the top two and will be confirmed in the play-offs unless they beat Bosnia/Herzegovina and Slovakia lose.

– Iceland must win to stay in contention to finish in the top two.

– Bosnia-Herzegovina cannot finish in the first two places and will enter the play-offs.
