Apollon Smyrnis prevailed 15-12 over ANO Glyfada for the eleventh matchday of the A’ group of A1 men’s polo.
The “light brigade” took a three-goal lead in the second eight minutes (5-2), but ANOG was reduced to a goal (6-5) before the end of the half. With a long streak of five goals, Apollon escaped again (11-5), but again the club of the Southern suburbs found the answer and reduced it to 12-11.
Apollon, however, was the one who said the last word, after he widened his lead again with a new streak and took the victory with 15-12.
The first scorer was Bogdanovic with five goals, followed by Chondrokoukis with four.
Nikos Deligiannis left the game early. The coach of Apollo Smyrnis saw a red card at 0.59 of the third period and after having previously been noticed with a yellow card, because he left his team’s bench in protest, as the match sheet states.
